Program Description
 
Power Hours are high-energy classes that include cardio, stroke development and situational tennis for each specific level of play. The program is also a great way to meet new players of your ability level.

  • Power Hour Beginners: Adults that have had minimal or no prior experience playing.
  • Power Hour Advanced Beginners: Adults that have had lessons prior but are still developing fundamentals.
  • Power Hour Intermediate: Adults that are current or former players who have match experience.
  • Cardio Tennis: Complete cardio workout that includes training aids to reach target workout goals.

Program Description

The junior program is a games-based approach that adds excitement and enjoyment for the kids as they learn through a progression of drills and games specific for their particular level of play.

  • Young Stars (ages 4-6): Entry-level beginners, just starting to develop hand-eye skills. Loads of fun.
  • Futures (ages 7-11): Advanced beginners, juniors that have begun instruction but not yet begun play.
  • ATP I (ages 11-13): Intermediate-level juniors with lesson experience just starting to play matches.
  • ATP II (ages 13-15): Intermediate-level juniors with lesson experience just starting to play matches.
  • ATP III (ages 12-15): Advanced beginners, juniors that have begun instruction but not yet begun play.

From Route 128
take Route 9 east for five miles. Take a left onto Chestnut Hill Ave. Follow to Cleveland Circle and take a right onto Beacon St. Then take the first right onto Strathmore Road. Field and tennis courts are at the end of the road.
From Boston
follow Beacon St. to Cleveland Circle. Make a U-turn and take the first right onto Strathmore Road.

**Directions to Brookline High School main gym
From Route 128: Take Route 9 East toward Brookline. Follow Route 9 for approximately seven miles.
Turn left onto Cypress Street. At the Volkswagen dealership take the third left on Davis Avenue.
At stop sign turn left onto Greenough Street. (Brookline High School will be on your right.) At the stop sign turn left onto Tappan Street.
First building on the right is the main gym facility, 66 Tappan Street.

Confidential applications can be made to the Director of Recreation, and if a hardship exists, the applicant may be granted a reduction in fee at the discretion of the Director. Many programs are self supporting, which limits the amount of available aid per program. Applications must be received 15 business days before the start of a program unless otherwise stated in registration information.
